Poma#1 music for electric guitar, sunday 7 august 2011, 19.30h
Poma is a project born from the idea of using free improvisation within a composed context. Thus, the musicians immerse themselves in improvisation which occurs within pre-established structures, or along previously defined musical pathways,or even together with previously composed music; the essential principle being to set as few restrictions as possible on the performers.

Paco Jordi, born 1981 in Girona, Spain. He is a composer and guitarist. He played guitar with pop rock bands like Brazzaville, Holland Park amongst others. He studied guitar and trombone at the Barcelona Conservatory and composition with the Catalan composer Albert Llanas. He has composed for string orchestra, solo instruments and chamber music. His “Piece for 12 strings” was one of the three works selected in the composition contest Sincronic organised by the Phonos Foundation. Together with others he works on improvisation in an experimental music project called Poma. Poma#1 “Music for violin, cello, clarinet and electric guitar” is their first CD, recorded in Barcelona in 2010, in May 2011 released by the Austrian label Moozak as a limited edition.
